Sifting the Wheat from the Chaff
I know that in moments of deep uncertainty, the pull toward seeking answers outside of God can feel overwhelming. It is natural to want to know what lies ahead, but we must ask ourselves what the Bible says about tarot cards and other forms of divination. The Lord is not trying to restrict your joy; He is protecting your heart from deception.
In Luke 22:31, Jesus speaks directly to Peter with profound tenderness and warning: 'And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:' This is not a threat, but a declaration of spiritual reality. The enemy seeks to confuse your path, but Christ has already interceded for you.

Enduring Through the Confusion
What the Bible teaches regarding such practices is clear: they open doors that should remain shut to our peace. As we navigate a world filled with noise, we must hold fast to the truth. Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:11, saying, 'And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.' These deceptions often masquerade as wisdom or insight, but they lead us away from the only Source of true light.
Yet, do not let fear dictate your faith. Christ’s prayer for you is powerful. He continues in Luke 22:32, 'But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.' Your faith is not your own strength to maintain; it is sustained by His prayer. When you feel sifted by confusion, remember that He is holding you.

You are not alone in your search for answers. Jesus has prayed for your faith to remain strong, even when the world tries to distract you. Trust in His guidance, not in the shadows of the unknown. He is your sure foundation and your loving Shepherd.
✝ Sister Grace's Pastoral Reflection
Grace and peace be multiplied unto thee in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thou hast laid before me a matter of grave spiritual consequence, that the Scripture may be searched concerning tarot and fortune-telling. Let thy heart hearken unto these observations, for the Lord hath given me burden upon this theme.
The strength of such a teaching lieth in its unflinching fidelity to the Word. For it is written, “There shall not be found among thee any one that useth divination” (Deuteronomy 18:10). Tarot, what’er title it bear, seeketh knowledge from sources alien to the living God; yet our covenant Lord declareth, “I am God, and there is none like me… declaring the end from the beginning” (Isaiah 46:9-10). A sound exposition will therefore exalt Christ alone as the True Seer, turning the weary soul from shadowy guesses unto the sure promise of His Word.
In alignment with the Gospel of Grace, this doctrine must lead the seeker away from anxious divination and into childlike surrender. The wounded heart, trembling at life’s dark turns, shall find no comfort in cards of wood and painted visage; rather it shall be drawn to Him who saith, “Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee” (Psalm 50:15). When the teaching pointeth to repentance, not condemnation; to grace, not fear; then it ministereth truly. For the Gospel breaketh every chain of superstition and poureth upon the contrite spirit the oil of gladness.
Yet beware, my brethren, lest in rebuking error we neglect the wounded. The soul that hath sought tarot often carrieth wounds of loss, loneliness, and dread. Speak unto it with the tenderness of our Good Shepherd: “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart” (Psalm 34:18). Let the Word be set before them as a lamp unto their feet, and let prayer open heaven’s windows over those entangled in occult delusion.
Hear now the altar call of this hour: O Lord Jesus, Thou that searchedest my reins and knewest my secret wanderings, break every yoke of division between my soul and Thyself. Smite the veil of deception; pour out Thy Holy Ghost, renew a right spirit within me, and establish my steps upon the rock of Thy truth. I renounce every shadow; I flee unto Thee, my Refuge and my Strength. Amen.
In conclusion, let this teaching stand or fall by its fruit: whether it driveth the soul to Christ, exalteth Scripture, and bringeth peace unto troubled hearts. Walk therein in faith, for “every good gift and every perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17).
